ABOUT ARTEMIS

Artemis Truax is an NYC-based theatre artist. She is the definition of a multi-hyphenate: a playwright, director, dramaturg, lyricist, composer, and actor.

Artemis graduated from Kent State University with a double major in Mathematics and Theatre Arts. She then spent a year as a literary intern at Florida Studio Theatre before moving to New York!

Her work is research- and consent-forward. She puts accessibility and understanding at the forefront of her art.

In practice, Artemis uses theater to create, uplift, and maintain intersectional communities. Her art comes at a cross-section of feminist, queer, and disabled thought. Artemis wants to work with people who view every process as a learning experience. We are all speaking in draft.
