Artemis Truax is a NYC-based multi-hyphenate theatre artist. She graduated from Kent State University with a double major in Mathematics and Theatre arts before working at Florida Studio Theatre as a Literary Intern, where she read and evaluated over 200 plays.

Artemis uses her writing to create stories of the past that envision a better future. Her work analyzes the unattainable goal of gender and impossibility of perfection. She uses historical and intersectional analysis to craft stories that are infused with a cautious hope, yet stay clear of being overly saccharine.

 

In the room, Artemis's passion for consent-first practices guide her efforts to create a safe and inclusive rehearsal space for everyone. ​
